A successful multi-person outing requires sustenance and Cleveland Plus has great dining to keep your group going. Located adjacent to the rapidly developing E. 4th St. entertainment district, The Chocolate Bar (www.originalchocolatebar.com) is one of downtown Cleveland’s newest additions and features an extensive group-friendly menu that includes soups, salads and appetizers in addition to an array of chocolate-themed dishes like “chocolate bar pasta” (fresh pasta tossed with white chocolate cream). All the restaurants and clubs in the area complement each other and the restaurant invites groups to drop in for a bite before, during or aer anything going on at the House of Blues, Hilarities comedy club or any of the sports facilities downtown. “We have a party room that could hold up to 25 people sitting down or 40 standing up and we have a back section that could accommodate 45 people standing,” says co-owner Dominic Fanelli. The tempting eatery also just opened outdoor patio seating. Although there’s a kids’ menu, Fanelli says, “We’re maybe best known for our special chocolate martinis; we have more than 20 of them.” The Chocolate Bar’s decadent desserts are served with a rose petal and strawberry, and they have big portions of ice cream sundaes.

Another group-friendly option is Bucca di Beppo (www.buccadibeppo.com), a 1950s- and ‘60s-themed Italian restaurant located in Westlake, just a few miles outside of the city. “I do everything from corporate events to bar mitzvahs and memorial lunches,” says sales manager Derek Baker. Baker’s Bucca location (there’s another restaurant in Strongsville) has private rooms that seat from 18 to 70 people and the entire restaurant seats up to 300. Housed in a historic Westlake building, the eclectic restaurant is designed to “remind you of your grandma’s house.” And for groups, it has much to oer, including three dierent group menus with lower prices that what you nd on the regular menu. “We feature over-the-top portions that are enough to feed a small country,” Baker says. “So if you go home hungry, it’s your fault.”
