I have a better understanding of the “Oracle ecosystem” and the future of how they intend to support their customers. What’s your vision for your RUG? What’s your vision for Quest? My vision for our RUG is to continue to grow the local participation and work within Quest’s international user group hierarchy to improve our working relationship with Oracle. My vision for Quest is to continue to find innovative ways to bring the user community together, both through electronic forums and through face- to-face networking at the regional and global conferences like COLLABORATE. I think the face-to-face conference opportunities are still so critical to maintaining the business relationships that give us a network to help our companies be more efficient and productive. The day networking becomes strictly an online or electronic exercise will be a sad day for all of us. While technology advances (especially in our world) are the future, and electronic communications will continue to evolve, I don’t think they should replace the innovation and creativity that can occur when people come together and collaborate toward a common goal. My life is…pretty darn good!
