Quest Q and A Spring 2010 : Page 21

aa Continued CoMMitMent Q: what are you hearing from Cios lately? a:We have been hearing from CIOs that they are glad to see that Oracle continues its commitment to both JD Edwards’ product lines through Applications Unlimited. They are pleased that we are still very committed to supporting our product by coming out with an update to A9.2 as well as developing A9.3. Our Lifetime Support Policy has also shown our commitment to our product. Q: how is customer feedback being incorporated into the development process for a9.3? what should customers do if they’d like to get involved? a: Our Product Strategy Managers are constantly looking for input on enhancements that provide value and reduce total cost of ownership for our customers. The World User Group is a great forum to explore and discuss solutions for our customers. This group meets via conference call every other month on the second Tuesday of the month. My team is always listening to requirements that come through Quest and the World User Group. I would encourage customers to get involved with Quest and use the tools that are available to them such as the enhancement paper process. The program outlines a process that gives Quest’s community a way to submit and discuss their ideas and proposals for enhancement request to the Oracle products they use. Our dedicated JD Edwards World team is currently defining our next release, A9.3, so now is the time to get those enhancements in. Q: what discussions do you anticipate having this year with attendees at CollaBorate 10? what will the results of those talks be? a: We expect to hear from customers who have upgraded and how it is going. We want to know what new features they are using and what benefits they receive. From our older release customers, we want to help with their business case to upgrade. Our customers will have the opportunity to explore the wide range of Oracle solutions and services at the Conference. With the ability to integrate to other Oracle products such as Demantra, Agile and CRM On Demand we can broaden our JD Edwards solution. Q: what advice do you have for CollaBorate 10 attendees looking to maximize their conference experience? a: My advice to attendees to maximize their conference experience is to make it a networking event. Go to the sessions. Meet with other customers as well as the JD Edwards Strategy Managers. Have an open dialogue with other customers. When you go back to your office, implement what you learn. Meet. Discuss. React. 21 Submit your question now for the next issue: email jennifer.rogers @questdirect.org.
